正位
After the meeting, she gathers five rulers off the table while two colleagues walk out. Tradition reads the Five of Swords as conflict and hollow victory: winning the argument, losing the room. Sometimes the fight was worth it. Often the cost shows up later. The card asks you to check what you're actually trying to win, and whether being right is worth what it takes.
You can win the point and lose the room.

逆位
She leaves the rulers on the table and follows them out. Reversed, the Five of Swords may point to ending a conflict: making amends, letting go of a grudge, walking away from a fight that isn't worth having. It can also show resentment still simmering after the fight. The card asks you to take one step toward repair, or to step out of the ring for good.
Put the rulers down. Repair beats winning.
