正位
A button-shop owner hugs a jar to his chest, one button under each shoe. Tradition reads the Four of Pentacles as holding on: keeping things close, protecting what you have, wanting control. Some of that is wise. Too much of it closes your hands. The card asks you to notice what you're guarding, and whether loosening your grip a little could make room for something new.
Hold it close. Leave one hand open.

The card asks you to find the middle: loosen what's stiff, protect what's essential, and notice which is which.
