Tradition reads the Fool as beginnings, trust and a willingness to look a little silly. The card doesn't ask you to leap off anything. It asks for one honest start, small enough to undo, taken before the plan feels finished. Curiosity is allowed to lead for a day.

The Fool walks in without a plan and without a backup excuse. Upright Fool is the start before the story gets neat: beginnings, trust, and a willingness to look a little silly.
